Made from the 1904 sterling spoon "Siren" by Unger Brothers. The ring starts with a mermaid at the forefront moving down to a second Siren in the middle. Pulling us in with their beauty the songs of the Sirens drip like sweet honey from their lips. Young sailors are enticed to discover and dine in their love quickly rushing to the shoreline into the sea. As they make their way each is met with a kiss. Little did they know her song is that of turmoil and her kiss is that of death. This sterling spoon ring is truly one of a kind in its sensual history. A disordered dance between passions of the flesh and continual turmoil brought from latent discoveries of unwanted romances all packed into one ring. Dimension of ring: Current Size: 9.5 US Ring Feel: Large
*The current ring has an engraved "S" on the front and "06" on the inside. This most likely means in 1906 this spoon was gifted to a friend or family with the initial "S".
Aaron Paul can re-size any spoon ring to fit your finger free of charge. He takes great care in carefully cleaning each spoon and uniquely turning it into a piece of history you can wear. Each piece of silverware Aaron Paul uses dates back between the early 1800’s to mid 1900’s with a majority of the patterns between 1880’s to 1930’s.
My goal as an artist is to not only show the beauty and history of each piece of art but also the beauty of the person that wears this ring. I believe every person has a unique identity. With this identity and skills learned throughout life they can go into the world and shed light into dark places. My hope is that my art will help remind each person how unique they are and how they are one of a kind.
